Samuel Siebu, SOKS Foundation founder, has recently taken another major step towards his lifelong dream of awarding full waiver academic scholarships to 250 students from his native Liberia. This week, Samuel Siebu opened his heart and finances to help five deserving students of the ‌Annie‌ ‌T.‌ ‌Doe‌ ‌Memorial‌ ‌Academy by awarding them full academic scholarships.‌ With his ‌generous‌ ‌support,‌ these five female students are able‌ ‌to‌ ‌receive‌ ‌a quality,‌ ‌tuition-free,‌ ‌Christian-‌based ‌education‌ ‌in‌ ‌Buchanan,‌ ‌Liberia,‌ ‌West‌ ‌Africa.‌ ‌Along‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌quality‌ ‌education,‌ ‌this sponsorship provides ‌students supplies, uniforms, and‌ ‌a‌ ‌free‌ ‌lunch‌ ‌daily. ‌Sadly,‌ ‌this‌ ‌may‌ ‌be‌ ‌the‌ ‌only‌ ‌meal‌ ‌they‌ ‌receive‌ ‌each‌ ‌day.‌ ‌Mr. Francis Sio, receiving the scholarships donation from Mr. Siebu on behalf of ATDMF, applauded Sam for his significant contributions and‌ ‌urged ‌that‌ he‌ ‌will‌ ‌continue‌ ‌to‌ ‌support‌ ‌these‌ ‌students‌ ‌until‌ ‌they‌ ‌graduate‌ ‌from‌ ‌Annie‌ ‌T.‌ ‌Doe‌ ‌Memorial‌ ‌Academy.‌ ‌This‌ ‌quality‌ ‌education‌ ‌will‌ ‌provide these well-deserving female students‌ ‌an‌ ‌opportunity‌ ‌to‌ ‌step‌ ‌out of‌ ‌the‌ ‌cycle‌ ‌of‌ ‌poverty‌ ‌their‌ ‌families‌ ‌have‌ ‌experienced‌ ‌for‌ ‌far‌ ‌too‌ ‌long.‌ ‌They‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌able‌ ‌to‌ ‌further‌ ‌their‌ ‌education,‌ ‌acquire‌ ‌a‌ ‌job‌, possibly start‌ ‌a‌ ‌business,‌ ‌and‌ ‌give‌ ‌back‌ ‌to‌ their ‌communities.‌ ‌

Liberia is the oldest republic in Africa and yet one of the poorest nations. It has one of Africa’s highest rates of illiteracy; public education is not free. A large number of families are too poor to pay school fees. Often times they have to put their children to work doing menial labor to help support their families. ATDMF’s mission is to change that.

Annie T Doe Memorial Foundation's mission is to empower today's generation for a better tomorrow. The foundation provides free primary education to disadvantaged children, free women empowerment programs, and health awareness services.

We encourage everyone to sponsor a child. There is no greater gift than the ability to brighten a child's future. Make a gift today and turn a child's dream of a better tomorrow into a reality.

Earlier this year, Samuel Siebu was able to award fifteen well-deserving female students of the Kollah Foundational Institute full scholarships for their academic excellence. Samuel Siebu is well-known for his passion for education and his generosity towards the less fortunate in our society. With his enthusiasm for education, Mr. Siebu believes that the best gift to give a child is an education, as it can never be taken away. Sam Siebu’s philanthropic deeds go beyond borders - it is his goal that other well-meaning donors will support and enable such charitable work at the SOKS Foundation which will have a lasting impact on generations to come.
